Garth Iron Mine Well worth a look, I was there around Christmas and 4 or 5 weeks ago, and the doors were open.Info http://www.welshcoalmines.co.uk/forum/read.php?4,3578,4029 | Fri 12 Aug 2011 @ 15:33 |

Is this the one on the left as you head up the hill? If my memory serves me right it's got a big lake/pool inside known as the blue pool. If it is I hope it stays open another week or so as I'm stuck in Somerset until 20th. The last time I went in was around (showing my age now) 25 years ago. Anyone up for a trip?? ---------------------- | Fri 12 Aug 2011 @ 16:03 |

It is that mine, it is a smaller now as the quarry has consumed the site of main pit. The blue and two other pools are still left. | Sat 13 Aug 2011 @ 10:44 |
